Uncle Chris in Paris

Chris came to Paris with his Centenary College program. We met up on Monday, 8 August, at the Place du Châtelet, took a walking tour through the Marais and Place des Voges, and had dinner at the Brasserie Bofinger (1864). On Wednesday, 10 August, he took the train from Paris to Méricourt (with a two-hour delay when tree branches brought the electric wires down), where we had a splendid meal of melon/prosciutto, pork products, various cheeses, and tarte aux pommes. We then took him to the airport via the locks on the Seine.

With that particular meal, we celebrated what would have been W. Kern Holoman's 96th birthday with his favorite sort of repast.

The red doors are those of the Hotel des Ambassadeurs de Holland (1660) in the Marais.
